Love after all matters the most...

Good Afternoon!

Collin and I are quickly approaching our one year anniversary mark.

I cannot believe time has flown by so fast. Within this last year we have done quite a lot but we have more importantly learned a lot. We have learned more about each other and ourselves and about God's expectations of marriage, not our own.

There is a famous Max Lucado quote that says,
"A woman's heart should be so hidden in God that a man has to seek Him just to find her."

I am a lucky wife in that my husband has sought my heart through Him even when I didn't hide it there. Collin has been a pretty amazing and an extremely patient person.

It is crazy to think just a year ago we were getting ready for our wedding. It was perfect. It could not have gone any smoother or more perfectly graceful (even though at the end we had uninvited fire trucks come due to the smoke from the sparklers).
I would not change a single second of that day.

For our one year, Collin and I are taking a mini-vacation to Fredericksburg. My faithful and brave mother is going to watch our overly hyper dachshunds for us while we get away for a few days.

I am honestly super excited. We are going to stay at The Hoffman Haus which is an adorable bed and breakfast right off the main street.

I think one of my (many) favorite moments from our wedding was our first dance.

We spent months trying to come up with the perfect song to dance to. I didn't want anything that was too cliche. We choose a Keith Urban song but then I hear a song by Brandon Heath and I was blown away with how simple and sweet and perfect it was. It is called "Love never fails". If you have a minute I encourage you to listen to it below.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Jessica Katherine
