Summer 2013

Hi there!

It's been a couple of months since our last post. Summer is always an incredibly busy time for everyone. 

Katie has grown so much. 

She is WALKING! She took her first step the day before 8 months old.

She also had tubes put in her ears a few weeks ago and has been doing great ever since. 

She loves to eat and loves getting out.

Katie is starting to get a little shy around strangers and a little clingy to mommy but she is still a social butterfly. 

She has 7 teeth. 

She can say "Mama", "dada", "Quack", and "baba". She is trying her best to talk more.

Katie can also point to photos of family when asked. 

Fall is quickly approaching along with a lot of fun activities for us. 

We are so excited for Football season to start and for Katie to fall in love with it. 

We are beyond blessed and thank God daily for always His grace and faithfulness.

7 months old!

Katie June, you are growing so fast!

We can't believe you are getting closer to being a year old.

You have your first tooth and really starting to use it to eat some yummy food.

You are crawling and pulling up on your own. (Mommy really needs to baby proof!)

You are a constant mover and are into everything.

You weigh almost 16 pounds now.

Avocado, yogurt, and blueberries are your favorite foods.

You can say "Hi" and you wave. You are really starting to communicate with us. 

You are beginning to hold food and feed yourself. 

Bath time is always fun and I know you are just going to love Pawpa and Chelle's pool this summer. 

We love you so much and pray you know God's love for you.

6 months old!

Katie June, it is hard to believe you are 6 months old!

We love you so much, sugar pea!

You are one happy little girl!

You smile all the time, especially when we smile at you. 

You are getting a little chunky but Mommy and Daddy think you are perfect!

You now weigh 14 pounds 13 ounces and are 23.5 inches long.

You can grab toys and sit up on your own for a long time. 

Everything goes in the mouth!

You are almost crawling. You can backwards crawl and you roll 

around to get to toys you want. 

You are taking your naps and sleeping at night in your crib.

You love watching the dogs play!

Your favorite foods right now are avocados, sweet potatoes, peas, and carrots.

You love to stand and bounce. You NEVER stop moving.

You love to give "kisses" and hugs. 

You are the joy in our lives and we love you more and more daily. We love watching you learn and study people. We are so excited to see God's love in you already!

5 Months

Katie June you are 5 months old!

You love to laugh at silly noises Daddy makes.

You can sit up without being held.

Red is one of your favorite colors.

You love sweet potatoes, bananas, and peas!

You love singing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "Patty Cake".

You get bored really easily, so Mommy and Daddy have to keep you moving!

You love your jumper!

Your favorite things are singing, people watching, and grabbing toys.

You like to "growl" at people. 

Bath time is always fun!

You are learning to use a sippy cup but more think it is something to chew on. 

Your eyes are still blue!

You are the light of our lives and we love you so much, baby girl!

4 Months

I am a little late on doing this but....

Katie is 4 Months Old!!!

Katie girl, Daddy and Mommy love you more and more daily.

You are blowing raspberries.

You love grabbing things with your hands.

You laugh constantly.

You love rolling and rolling and rolling. It is hard to keep up with you!

Changing your diaper is a challenge now that you are so active.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is one of your favorite things.

You love going to the farm and seeing the moo cows.

Still teething but no tooth yet. 

You are officially sleeping in your room. 

Katie had her 4 month shots and check up and she was given the go ahead on solids by the doctor. Let the fun begin!

Cannot believe she is already 4 months!

Katie's Baby Blessing

Today was a very special day in our family.

Today was Katie's baby blessing at church!

We were absolutely blown away by the love and support from our church family. It was incredibly touching and Katie is a blessed little girl to have so many amazing people in her life. 

Katie June is almost 4 months now and she is so fun! She is growing so much and learning so much each day!

She is constantly smiling and laughing! 

We love her more and more each day!

3 months

Katie June is 3 months old today!!!

She is so fun right now! She is beginning to show her cute but demanding personality and it has been so amazing!

She loves to smile at Collin and me and laughs when we make silly noises at her. 

She is officially rolling from her stomach to her back and trying her best to roll from her back to tummy. 

Katie is staying up for longer periods and is working on getting on a schedule.

She is also teething and her first bottom tooth is trying its best to come through. Everything goes in her mouth at this point.

Katie loves her play mat and loves kicking while it flashes lights and makes noises at her. 

We are amazed by her daily and can't wait to see her personality come through even more over the next few months.
