Hello!
I know I haven't posted in a couple of months, but it isn't exactly easy to find time to blog when you have a baby and it is more fun to spend time with her than to do anything else.
The last few months have been filled with coos and ahhs, screaming, smiling, dirty diapers, wonder, and restless sleep and lots and lots of LOVE.
I have so enjoyed the last few months with my sweet Katie girl. It is so amazing to see God's creativity in her daily. She is learning something new everyday!
I cannot believe it is 2013 already. I barely feel like it should be November of 2012 but here we are almost half way through January.
I am so excited for all of the Lord's plans for us in 2013. It will be our first full year as a family of three.
Our first vacation as three, our first Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc...
God had built such a new foundation in Collin and mine's relationship with Katie now in the family.
We have found more reasons to love each other as we rediscover attributes of each other in Katie.
We sing "Our God" in church almost weekly and I feel like that is our anthem for this year. It comes from Romans 8:31 and is a declaration of having faith and no fear in Christ's strength and plan for us.
Our God is greater, our God is stronger
God You are higher than any other
Our God is Healer, awesome and power
Our God, Our God...
And if Our God is for us, then who could ever stop us
And if our God is with us, then what can stand against?
God You are higher than any other
Our God is Healer, awesome and power
Our God, Our God...
And if Our God is for us, then who could ever stop us
And if our God is with us, then what can stand against?
I especially want to proclaim this with Katie in our lives now so that she grows to never fear the future or God's plan for her but to embrace it and seek His path for her with excitement and joy.
Collin has always hated negative attitudes about anything in life and believes in always being positive. And with a God like ours, how can you be negative in this life? There is always joy, love, and wonder to be found daily.
Katie is being dedicated on February 10th at church and we cannot wait to celebrate that day with our families.
We hope everyone is staying well and avoiding all the flu and RSV and other sicknesses that are going around. Hopefully I can do a better job of keeping up with the blog.
Blessings,
Jessica
