20 Weeks!!

We are half way there!!

I am so excited that we have reached the halfway mark but it is also a little scary. Where has the time gone?! And why does it seem like I have no time left to do everything I need to get done?!

The good and bad thing about being pregnant during the summer, apart from the horrible heat, is that it is our busiest time of the year. Collin's work seems to pick up and then we have wedding season, birthdays, dr appointments, vacations, holidays, and everything else in between. We seem to be pretty solidly scheduled, week and weekend wise, until September.

The good thing about this: summer is awesome and such a great time to see friends and family...the bad thing: it makes my summer fly by, leaving me just a few weeks away from welcoming our sweet little girl into the world.

I am not sure how I will handle this East Texas heat while being pregnant, but with a little help from ice cream, snowcones, and water, I think I can make it. So far this pregnancy has been very comfortable and as perfect as I could expect.

We got to see our little girl on Monday at the doctor's office. She is right on schedule weighing in at 11 ounces and about the size of a banana. She was sleeping and she kept her face covered up with her hand so we weren't able to get a good look but any glimpse melts my heart.

(You can see her covering her face in this photo)

It's amazing how anyone can doubt God's existence. The miracle of life alone is one that is so wrapped with His power and love. I have grown so appreciative of who He is and His love for us. From the first time I heard her heart beat to the first time I felt her move, I have been in awe of our Creator.

Be Blessed,
Jessica
