Happy Tuesday!
I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend! Collin and I very much enjoyed the extra long weekend at home. We got to go to the SSHS football game on Friday which is always awesome. Then on Saturday we had breakfast with Collin's dad and brother and headed out to the farm for a walk/adventure.
Sunday we decided to start a few projects. We have been wanting to re-do our back patio for some time but didn't want to spend the time or money to deal with it. But we found these two outdoor chairs in the barn out at the farm and decided with a little paint and love they could be a decent addition to the back porch.
Here is what they started off looking like:
After a little cleaning, sanding, and painting (and some paint in my hair, face, hands, feet, etc):
And the finished project:
We got the cushions on clearance at Lowes. I had every intention of recovering the old ones but why go to the trouble when there is a sale going on. Maybe I am just lazy.
Jade seems to thoroughly enjoy the new set up. We are not quite done with it but we are loving the improvement so far.
The other task that we decided to do was to get a new curtain rod for our bedroom. We have been meaning to do this since we got new curtains. As you can see below, we have a LARGE bed and a LARGE window but a puny curtain rod. It barely held up the heavy curtains that we got for the room.
So we once again went to Lowes (I promise I am not sponsored by them!), and found this wood curtain rod and rings.
WE LOVE IT!
It makes the room feel so much more balanced and the window looks more grand now.
I also finally found a place for a bowl that my sister brought back from Israel for me. She visted there a few months ago. I decided to make it my jewelry holder in our bathroom.
It is such a unique and beautiful bowl and I am so glad it has found a home. I also love having a place for the pearls Collin gave me a few Christmas's ago.
I hope everyone had a good weekend. This upcoming weekend my mom comes into town so we will see the kind of messes we can get ourselves into.
Blessings,
Jessica
