Collin and I celebrated each other this weekend by going to Los Pinos Vineyard in Pittsburg. We had a lovely meal and enjoyed sitting on the porch looking out into the vineyard with a glass of wine. We love that place!
Then Last night Collin and I grilled and then had a cocoa velvet cake that I made :)
I also thought I would share a book that I am currently reading. It is called Darcy's Story. And if you know me at all then know that I am a BIG Jane Austin fan and read Pride and Prejudice several times a year. This book is the same story but from Darcy's perspective. I AM LOVING IT!! Books like these put "Twilight" and what not to shame when it comes to romance. The writing, feeling, and air of the book is just brilliant.
In Family news, Collin and I are going to be an Aunt and Uncle!! As most of you know, I am already an Aunt to 7 beautiful nieces and nephews (Cameron, Kate, Lizzy, Noah, Samuel, Mattison, and Ben). Well Collin's beautiful sister Julia and her husband Andrew are pregnant and expecting their "little b" on August 28th. We are super excited for them. Also, my amazing big brother Joey is turning 27 on the 21st of this month. Gotta love family!!! :)
I thought I would leave on this thought below. My lovely niece Lizzy gave me this and I adore it. I have it posted by my desk in my office at work and it is such an awesome reminder that God is bigger than any of your problems and more loving and protective than you can imagine.
There is nothing… no circumstance, no trouble, no testing that can touch me until; first of all it has gone past God and past Christ, right through to me. If it has come that far, it has come with a great purpose, which I may not understand at the moment. But as I refuse to become panicky, as I life up my eyes to Him and accept it as coming from the throne of God for some great purpose of blessing to my own heart, no sorrow will ever disturb me, no trial will ever disarm me, no circumstance will cause me to fret. For I shall rest in the joy of what my Lord is! That is the rest of victory!
Blessings,
Jessica Katherine
