Arts and Crafts Day?

Happy Monday!

This past weekend, Collin and I decided to stay home and get things done around the house. I got so much in a busy body mind set that I just couldn't stop and I kept creating new projects for myself to do. At about 5:00 I decided to start painting. I have had an extra canvas for a while now so I figured, why not, right? So I got all my paints together and I set up shop at the kitchen table:

Once I painting the canvas an "antique white" (Not sure why I decided to paint it that but I did), I contemplated on what I wanted to paint. I decided to do a bible verse to go in our bedroom. I literally spent 2 hours trying to come up with some verse. I wanted something strong and meaningful. Finally, after searching and thinking, I came up with 1 John 3:18. And then I started painting:

After a few hours and a massive amount of erasing and re tracing later, I was almost finished. I decided to let it sit over night before I decided what kind of Scrolly motifs I wanted to put on there. Sunday, we woke up and had coffee and I did my devotional and I finally finished it:

I know the pics are sideways, but I am glad that it is finished. I don't know where to hang it now but it is going to sit on the console table in our living for the moment.

Anyways, I am heading to Denton after work today. I have a doctors appoint at 11:05 and decided to take the whole day off to spend it with my sweet mother.

I think she is pretty excited to have a day of it just being me and her. Don't get me wrong, she loves Collin and spending time with him, but she misses just one on one time with me, and I miss it too. So Oliver and I will head that way at about 5:00 today.

Stay Excellent,
Jess
